Choose a character – today you are going to write a diary entry based on one of these characters. What did they do throughout the day? How did they feel? What was the weather like? Think about your expanded noun phrases, adverbs, time conjunctions and the features of a diary we have looked at in class!

Today you are going to write a letter to the witch asking her to set Hansel and Gretel free. 

 

Think about why they should be set free. How you can describe the children (are they nice? Intelligent? Polite?) and you must make sure you start your letter with ‘Dear Witch…’ otherwise who knows where your letter might end up!

What can you remember? What bits can you improve? Make sure you use high-level vocabulary and include as many grammar features as you can that I’ve taught you so far this year (expanded noun phrases, adverbs, similes, past tense verbs – everything!)
