Welcome to the website of St Charles' Catholic Voluntary Academy School in Hadfield. My name is Mrs Bernadette

As a headteacher and a parent I am passionate about ensuring all pupils love to learn, build resilience, become independent learners and for every child to be ambitious in what they can achieve. At St Charles’ we ensure our pupils receive an enriched and challenging curriculum which develops the whole child- spiritually, academically, socially, morally, physically and culturally.

The St Charles' way is for every child to:' Belong, Believe and to Blossom.' We aim for our children to feel safe, be happy, make friends and to be equipped with the 'toolkit' they need for life.
We live our school's mission in the following ways:
We belong when....
Pupils belong to the community and parents describe our school as having a 'warm and friendly' feel. Our sense of community is strong and there has been a St Charles' in Hadfield since 1858. Many parents and grandparents are past pupils of the school. Children are happy and feel safe in our school.
Pupils achieve and we have a ‘I can do' culture in our school. We believe in our pupils and they are taught to believe in themselves and to achieve.
We blossom when......
At Charles' school we have a dedicated, committed and highly qualified team of staff who deliver high quality teaching which allows our pupils to blossom and flourish.
Finally please take the time to look around our website. If you need any further information please don't hesitate to contact the school where I would be more than happy to meet with you and show you around our school.
In the Catholic school and community, we serve, pupils will foster a love for lifelong learning. All pupils will be empowered to strive for excellence and to fulfil their God-given potential.
The St Charles' way is for every child to:' Belong, Believe and Blossom'
Our school community is rooted in the gospel and the vision of St Charles Borromeo,
“We will pray, then we will understand”
This inspires us to BELONG, BELIEVE and BLOSSOM in our school community.
We are called to love one another as we seek to be the best in all that we learn and do.
We celebrate and nurture the gifts, talents and skills of everyone.
We commit ourselves to grow together in faith, love and service.
